Description:

Let’s Get Started on 4-H Project Record Books

Currituck County 4-H is hosting a workshop to help 4-H members get started on their  4-H Project Record Books now instead of waiting until the deadline to turn them in. Please join 4-H staff on May 6, 2022, from 2:30-4:30 at the Currituck County Extension Center, 120 Community Way in Barco and let us help you get started on project records. Our staff will help 4-H members pick a topic that interests them and get them started on activities that will help them meet goals they set to complete their project.

Register at our Eventbrite link https://getting-started-on-project-records.eventbrite.com to attend this workshop.

What is a 4-H project record you may ask? 4-H Project Records give youth an opportunity to reflect on what they have learned and accomplished throughout a year. They document new skills and experiences in a written report to measure their achievements and growth. These reports also encourage youth to set goals, pursue strategies to meet those goals, and to overcome obstacles. At the end of the year, these project records are submitted to the 4-H staff at your County Extension Office and are judged at a county level. After county judging is complete, these books may qualify to be entered in district and state competitions. The skills that are learned as they complete these project records will benefit members as they go to complete college applications, scholarship applications, and job resumes.

For questions about this workshop, or if you need accommodations for persons with disabilities please contact Stephanie Minton at (252) 232-2262 or by email at stephanie_minton@ncsu.edu no later than 10 business days prior to class.
