Are you and your company looking for food safety training? North Carolina Extension is bringing a comprehensive training experience to counties across North Carolina in Fall 2024.

The Food Safety Frontline Training aims to provide frontline employees, food processors, and extension officers with the knowledge and skills to safely manufacture food products. The training covers key concepts surrounding employee hygiene and handling practices, cross contamination, allergen control, documentation practices, and food defense geared towards the job responsibilities of production, sanitation, maintenance, and machine operators. The 4-hour training will include engaging and hands-on activities to allow participants to apply their knowledge. Participants will also receive supporting training materials available in both English and Spanish.

Training logistics:
  • Training hours: 10am - 2:30pm
    • Light lunch is included
  • Registration fee: $30 per person, discounts available for companies sending 3 or more employees. NC State and NC A&T Extension employees can attend the training free of charge.  Contact Kate Nicholas at katenicholas@ncsu.edu for a discount code.
