The caswell county Extension office will be offering a collection of classes to help those who wish to increase their gardening and plant knowledge. Classes are organized into two categories, Foundations and Specialties, to allow you to pick and choose what you would like to learn about. I would highly recommend attending as many foundations classes as you can to help build your base of knowledge.

Contrary to popular belief, you aren't born with a green thumb. Just like any skill, you have to learn, practice, and then hone your knowledge. Fortunately for us humans, we ARE born with everything we need to be great gardeners and stewards.

Foundations - Plants - Tuesday, May 10th at 6pm

Understanding plants is something we all know a little about, but bringing some focus to learning more can improve our relationship with them. For instance, learning how and where plants get their energy and nutrients from help us become much better gardeners. This class will cover lots of interesting information about plants and how best to grow them.
