Description: Check with your County Livestock or 4-H Agent for your specific county deadline for the Egg-Cellent Egg competition for youth ages 5-18. Youth enter the contest by September 8, and submit their entry fee by September 22, and should submit 6 high-quality eggs along with a supplemental educational portion (different for each age group).

Youth ages 8-18 with chickens are encouraged to participate in the Egg-cellent egg competition. Youth should:
  • Register for the competition
  • Pay a $15 registration fee (includes awards, and a t-shirt)
  • Watch the initial training, and the in-depth training (live or recorded)
  • Complete the educational, supplemental portion.
  • Submit 6 eggs for judging.
  • Watch the awards Zoom to celebrate their hard work
Important Dates
September 8 - Registration Ends
September 12 - 5:30pm - Initial Training via Zoom - Zoom link will be sent before the training
September 22 - Registration fee is due to the Hoke County Office
September 26 - Egg-citing, In Depth Egg Training- Zoom link will be sent before the training
November 7 - Eggs & supplemental portion submissions due (your county deadline may be sooner!)
November 21 at 5:30 pm - Winners announced on Zoom
