Watermelon and Cantaloupe are two of the healthiest fruits and are treats of the summer season. A meeting entitled Successful Production of Watermelon and Cantaloupe has been scheduled for Monday, May 15, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. at the Vance County Regional Farmers Market located at 210 Southpark Drive in Henderson. Farmers and gardeners interested in watermelon and cantaloupe production are invited to this meeting and this meeting will help you increase your production during 2023.During this meeting you will learn about recommended varieties of watermelon and cantaloupe, nutrient requirements, insect and disease control in melons, irrigation practices to increase melon production, and methods to increase your markets for watermelon and cantaloupe.
