Description:

1/11/22: Hemp Grower Zoom Meeting for Ashe / Watauga / High Country area hemp producers & those interested in potentially getting started.

Given the recent regulatory changes in the NC cannabis hemp landscape (from NCDA oversight to USDA licensing, etc.) it’s an excellent time for local hemp producers  to brush-up on details and also network as a community and with available Extension resources. On Tuesday, 1/11/22 from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM, Dr. David Suchoff, NCSU Assistant Professor of Alternative Crops will lead a Zoom meeting for regional hemp producers in conjunction with Area Agent Richard Boylan. Presenters will go over updates in variety research, market trends, and regulatory frameworks, and leave ample time for Q&A and discussion.

To receive a Zoom link by 1/8/22, please email Richard Boylan at rjboylan@ncsu.edu with “Hemp Meeting” in your subject line.
