Description:
On Saturday June 19th at 10 AM join us at The Preserve and Bird Sanctuary in the heart of the Flat Rock Historic District. The Preserve is located across the street from the Flat Rock Bakery and the Wrinkled Egg. Yes - we have changed the location of this event to better serve you.
Steve Pettis, NCSU Extension Agent Agriculture-Consumer and Commercial Horticulture, Henderson County will be the guest educator discussing and identifying “Invasive Plants”. Learn why “Trees of heaven” are NOT heavenly. Plants will be identified and discussed - be they beneficial or not.

After the discussion, the Mountain Gardeners will have a brief workday to continue their efforts in making the Preserve a welcoming place for all to walk on the trails and have a picnic at the three picnic tables. Mountain gardeners please bring your tools!
Parking is on Memminger as it rounds the bend to Little River Road.

This is one of the many planned HFR Mountain Gardener events for 2021.
