Description:

The 2021 4-H Youth Gardening program will provide hands-on, informative and imaginative activities for youth of all ages, with new activities each month.  This hands-on workshop called Let’s Fire Up the Hydroponics Rack! is a gardening activity for youth ages 10-14, on Tuesday April 20, 2021 at 4pm.  The workshop will last approximately 1.5 hours.  In this interactive workshop, we will learn about a small hydroponics rack, how it works, and how it functions.  We will then “fire it up” by doing everything necessary to get it running and insert our plants and grow lights.

Gardening is a healthy, fun activity for children!  Young people that participate in gardening activities develop new skills, learn about science and nature, learn about where their food comes from, and expand their creativity and imagination.

This is free of charge and all materials for this workshop will be provided to registered participants.  This event will be at the NC Cooperative Extension - Currituck Center, 120 Community Way, Barco, NC.

To register, please visit (eventbrite link will go here).   Registration is not complete until 4honline enrollment is submitted.    Be sure to check out online learning opportunities offered by NC Cooperative Extension in Currituck by visiting our website at currituck.ces.ncsu.edu
