Charting Our Course

As the world continues to change, Extension remains a steady force in North Carolina’s prosperity and the lives of millions. Now is the time to build on our successes, sustain our momentum and evolve for the future -- ensuring we continue meeting the needs of our communities.

Extension is a bridge between North Carolinians and our state’s preeminent research university. With 101 local centers, more than 1,000 experts and a vast network of partnerships, Extension puts knowledge into action, delivering research-based solutions to local issues statewide.

To chart a course for the future, we traveled the state and heard from over 1,000 of our team members, met one-on-one with numerous stakeholders, and collected survey responses from more than 9,000 program participants and partners.The resulting NC State Extension Strategic Plan 2023-2030 is a direct reflection of this comprehensive, stakeholder-driven planning process.
