The following counties had internship opportunities for summer 2019.
Avery County*
*NOTE: Interns selected for counties marked with an asterisk (*) will also be in the NC State Rural Works! Program. Interns in these counties will complete 8 hours of community service to gain a better understanding of the county's needs, history, and culture. Interns will also receive professional development coaching and support from the Rural Works! Coordinator during their internship experience. Rural Works! was created by a partnership between the Division of Academic and Student Affairs, the Office of Outreach and Engagement, and NC State Cooperative Extension. It is an important initiative to link NC State students to career opportunities in our state's Tier I and Tier II counties.
