Collapse ▲The 4-H Dairy Project is a joint county effort to expose youth to the once busy dairy industry of North Carolina. While no dairies are still in operation in Northampton County we want the youth to understand the time and effort that goes into the operation of a dairy and to understand the dairy cow. For this project we will have 5 dairy heifers that will live at Big Johns Store and we will go out a few times a week and work with them and learn about them. We will culminate the event at an area Dairy Show on November 2nd at the Livestock Arena in Edgecombe County on Kingsboro Road. The dates and times for all the meetings will be posted here when the time gets closer. We look forward to having you come out and work with the amazing animals.
