Job Description The NC State Extension Master Gardener program recruits, trains, and engages people to serve as volunteer educators who strengthen Extension's delivery of consumer horticulture programming to North Carolinians. We connect people with the benefits of plants through research-based education and outreach. As state coordinator, I provide leadership for the EMG program. My responsibilities include offering training and support for Extension agents serving as local EMG program coordinators, developing and overseeing program policies, coordinating statewide continuing education opportunities for EMG volunteers, promoting the EMG program and communicating our impacts, and managing statewide recognition of EMG volunteer efforts.
