
Job Description Dr. Benjamin Rajo has a joint appointment in Extension and Research with the Department of Animal Science and is based on the Mountain Research Station in Waynesville, NC. His primary focus is beef cattle production within grazing systems, though he also offers support for small ruminant production in Western North Carolina. Benjamin's Extension program supports grazing livestock producers and county agents in developing effective management strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency in grazing systems. His research program complements his Extension efforts by investigating how environmental and management factors impact ruminant performance and nutritional efficiency, with the goal of identifying key indicators and strategies to enhance productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
