N.C. Cooperative Extension complies with Federal civil rights laws and is committed to providing its programs and services without discrimination in accordance with:
- Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits discrimination based on race, color or national origin (including language)
- Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 which prohibits discrimination based on disability
- Title IX of the Education Amendments Act of 1972, which prohibits discrimination in education programs or activities based on sex
- Age Discrimination Act of 1975, which prohibits discrimination based on age
N.C. Cooperative Extension does not discriminate in program admission or access, in the treatment of program participants, or in the provision of services. Extension and its employees may not participate in, provide support to or partner with any individuals, organizations or entities that would result in a program that excludes, restricts or denies any person from participation because of race, color, national origin, age, sex or disability.
Information and Services for Persons with Disabilities and/or Limited English Proficiency
N.C. Cooperative Extension provides free services including:
- Qualified sign language interpreters and written information in other formats (large print, audio, accessible electronic formats, etc.), to communicate effectively with persons with disabilities
- Language services, such as qualified foreign language interpreters and information written in other languages, to ensure meaningful access to programs and activities for persons with limited English proficiency

Following is a notice to beneficiaries and prospective beneficiaries of their right to be free from discrimination based on religion in all Cooperative Extension programs.
Because this program is supported in whole or in part by financial assistance from the federal government, we are required to let you know that:
- We may not discriminate against you on the basis of religion, a religious belief, a refusal to hold a religious belief or a refusal to attend or participate in a religious practice;
- We may not require you to attend or participate in any explicitly religious activities (including activities that involve overt religious content such as worship, religious instruction or proselytization) that are offered by our organization, and any participation by you in such activities must be purely voluntary;
- We must separate in time or location any privately funded, explicitly religious activities (including activities that involve overt religious content such as worship, religious instruction or proselytization) from activities supported with direct federal financial assistance; and
