Tickets for the 2019 4-H New York City Bus Trip are now available!

The holiday season is fast approaching – don’t hesitate – tickets are available on a first-come first-serve basis. Once the bus is full – it’s full! This is a fun and festive holiday getaway, so, grab your friends and family, hop on the bus on Friday night and we’ll drive you to the Big Apple. You’ll have the opportunity to spend all day on Saturday shopping, sightseeing, whatever you’d like to do and see. And the best part is you get to leave the driving to us!

Here’s how the trip schedule works . . .

Friday, Dec 13th
Depart Nash County Agriculture Center in Nashville 9:30 p.m. Sharp!

Saturday, Dec 14th
Arrive New York City approximately 8:00 a.m.
Drop off and pick up will be at Bryant’s Park behind Macy’s near Time Square.
. . . then Depart New York City at 7:00 p.m. Sharp!

Be sure to return to bus on time to avoid being left behind.

Sunday, Dec 15th
Arrive back in Nashville in the wee hours Sunday morning – 3ish – 4ish

$115 per person

There’s so much to do in The Big Apple . . . Visit the famous Rockefeller Center Christmas tree, ice skating in Central Park, shopping at the Winter Village at Bryant’s Park, check out Time Square, catch a horse and buggy ride, see Radio City Music Hall, check out Macy’s – the world’s largest department store that will be all decked out with holiday window displays. See the Statue of Liberty, take a stroll across the Brooklyn Bridge, check out the Empire State Building or the 9/11 Memorial. Go exploring, ride the subway, catch one of those yellow cabs, take a cruise on the Staten Island Ferry or just grab a cup of coffee, or hot chocolate, and people watch. The list is endless – it’s all up to you. 

Note: We recommend that you research before you go – some sites require admission and it might be best to purchase tickets in advance to avoid lines.

PAYMENT INFORMATION A $50 non-refundable deposit and completed Registration Form and Liability Waiver (download below) will hold your seat. Deadline for final payment of balance is Monday, December 2nd, 2019. Payments must be cash or check. We are unable to process credit card transactions. Please make checks payable to Nash County 4-H. PAYMENT may be made at the NC Cooperative Extension office located at:
Nash County Agriculture Center – 1006 Eastern Avenue, Room 102 in Nashville

ADDITIONAL DETAILS The cost is $115 per person/per seat and includes one round trip ticket on a charter bus (AT&T Charter Bus Company) to New York City (NYC) and one 50/50 Raffle ticket. 50/50 Raffle drawing will be held on the bus approximately one hour prior to arrival to NYC. Buses depart both Nashville and New York City on time. Seats are first come, first serve – no prior seating arrangements. We suggest arriving at the Agriculture Center at approximately 9:00 p.m. If you are traveling with a group we suggest you meet a bit earlier so that you can gather and board the bus to hopefully be seated together.

You may bring small coolers or snack bags that fit under your seat, in an overhead compartment or stored in an outside storage compartment. Be sure to tag your belongings. Dress accordingly and where comfy shoes. Bring a pillow and blanket for a cozy journey. Several restroom stops will be provided on the way as well as on the return trip. There will be one longer stop shortly before we get to NYC that will allow you to change clothes and freshen up. Buses are usually equipped with phone charging capabilities. No refunds will be offered unless the trip is cancelled by NC Cooperative Extension, Nash County Center, or the bus company. Reminders and updates will be sent, via email, at least 10 days prior to the trip date. Please be sure to check your email.
