New Hanover County 4-H is excited to announce the 3rd Annual 4-H Pumpkin-Palooza…Experience the Adventure. We are excited to have our event IN PERSON this year. We are keeping safety first, but we’ll have LOTS of activities to enjoy!
Drop off and register your carved pumpkin on Saturday, October 16th, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the New Hanover County Extension and Arboretum. There will be one (1) 4-H Pumpkin-Palooza Pass per person with pumpkin entry. 1st thru 3rd place ribbons will be awarded for scariest, funniest, or most original!
AGE CATEGORIES
7 years old & Under (painted pumpkins only)
Carved pumpkins: 8-13 years old; 14-18 years old; 19-39 years old; 40 years & up
Garden Pumpkin Walk with Fun 4-H Activities
Visitation Schedule is as follows: Option #1: 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. OR Option #2: 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

RE-PURPOSE YOUR CARVED PUMPKINS You may recycle (dispose) of your carved pumpkins at the Arboretum November 1 – 3. Wilmington Compost and New Hanover County Extension & Arboretum, and New Hanover County 4-H is sponsoring the re-purposing of your carved pumpkins for livestock feed and/or compost.
We want to see all of the talent and creativity of your carved pumpkin in person!
