Youth ages 5 years old and have completed kindergarten -up to 7 years old will learn the basic skills necessary to catch a fish. Students learn how to cast, reel and the proper catch and release techniques, while fishing on the pier. All bait, tackle and rods are included in the lesson. Please make sure to feed your child lunch before you drop them off because we will not be stopping for lunch. If your child is required to ride in a booster car seat please provide that at drop off.
Once you have completed the Eventbrite registration please visit this link https://v2.4honline.com and complete the 4-H online enrollment. This will register your child in 4-H for the year and is required for participation in all 4-H events and activities.You will only need to complete this process once each year.
We also accept cash and check payments in addition to paying via credit card through Eventbrite. Please, make checks payable to NC State University. Checks and cash payments can be received at the Currituck County office, 120 Community Way Barco NC 27917, within 5 days of registration.

Currently, in-person classes require masks to be worn for the duration of the class without exception. If you arrive without a mask one will be provided for you. We ask all participants to maintain six feet of distance while on the premises. We are following the current NC mandates.
