Spring is here and we would love to help you shape your garden with beautiful plants and free expert advice. If you are interested in adding new plants to your house or garden, check out the Currituck County Extension Master Gardener℠ volunteers' annual Spring Plant Sale.
The “drive - thru” plant sale will be held at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center on Friday, May 7, 2021, from noon to 5:00 p.m. The sale will continue on Saturday, May 8th for a half-day, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The sale will be held outdoors behind the Currituck County Extension Center. Due to current regulations, registration is required and we have to limit the number of people shopping. The sale will include 30 minute time slots. 15 patrons will be permitted to register for each slot. Staff members will be available to guide everyone to a parking location. Patrons are required to stay in their cars until a staff member arrives to guide you to the sale. Patrons will have opportunities to purchase vegetables, annuals, hanging baskets, natives, sustainable trees, shrubs, herbs, perennials, camellias, and more while benefiting the ongoing stewardship and enhancement of the gardens, educational programs, and outreach activities. Gardening experts will also be on hand to provide free planting advice and answer customer questions.
Currently, in-person events require masks to be worn for the duration of the event without exception. If you arrive without a mask one will be provided for you. We ask all participants to maintain six feet of distance while on the premises. We are following the current NC mandates.
