The problem you have described is probably the two-spotted spider mite. Spider mites are usually found on the underside of the leaves. Two pesticide applications, 7 to 10 days apart, may be necessary to kill mites that were in the egg stage. Dursban, diazinon, horticultural oils and soaps can be used to control spider mites. Refer to labelled directions.
