Perennials
Canna
The disease you have described is bud rot. This bacterial
disease can spread from leaves and flowers into the stems causing
plant death. There is no effective chemical control. To
manage bud rot, reduce excess moisture. Water in morning so
foliage dries out. Space plants apart for better air
circulation. Pick off infected leaves and flowers. Remove
severely disease plants and soil surrounding them.
