Wilson County Display Garden
Acer palmatum, Japanese Maple, is a focal point
of the garden.
Rudbeckia in full bloom.
Pink and red azaleas bloom in the background.
A raised bed butterfly garden was created by a
child in 4-H Gardening Camp.
Compost demonstration site with signage and
different compost bins.
Mahonia's blue fruit is striking against the
pink flowers of 'Anthony Watereri' Spirea.
Weigla blooms infront of Miscanthus
gracillimus.
Our Mission:
The Wilson County Display Garden was developed to educate home
gardeners on plant habits and to introduce new plants to the
landscape. This garden is also used for teaching
landscape/nursery professional for the Certified Plant
Professional exam. The garden was started in 1997 and had
continued to grow and become a resource for visitors. The garden
is ever growing and changing so visit often.
Visit the Wilson County Diplay Garden, 1806 S. Goldsboro Street,
daily from dawn until dusk, to see plants that grow well in
Wilson county.
