Mr. Toby Bost, from Winston-Salem will be one of the featured speakers. Mr. Bost is known to many North Carolina gardeners because of his book North Carolina Gardener's Guide. Mr. Bost will speak on the seven habits all successful gardeners need to have. After his presentation his book will be available to purchase and get signed by the author. Mr. Bost is a North Carolina native and been working as a Horticulture Extension Agent for 27 years.
Mrs. Karen Neill, is a regular on PBS Almanac Gardener. She is a Horticulture Extension agent in Greensboro for the past 16 years. She also has weekly newspaper and other television programs in the Greensboro area. Her topic, "Be healthy, eat what you grow" will encourage those who have debating whether to have a vegetable garden this year. With the increased interest in being healthy and eating better, Mrs. Neill will not only give us the insight how to eat but how to grow it.
Wilson own local authority on garden ponds is Mr. Jay Horton, IS Co. Mr. Horton will should us the steps involved in creating a garden pond and how to maintain it for optimum plant and fish health.
Please join us for this free event. Door prizes and refreshments will be available along with the annual Master Gardener Plant Sale and All-Season Garden Club Bake Sale. (Next week's article will be a detailed list of plants available to purchase.) No need to register just come Saturday, March 6 and join the fun.
