Hardiness Zones: 7b to 9

Habit: Evergreen vine with coarse texture.

Exposure/Culture: Sun to part shade. Prune after bloom.

Climbing Method /Spread: Twisting stems and petioles. 15 to 25'; rapid growth rate.

Foliage/Flower/Fruit: White, fragrant flowers in spring; March to May. Large, glossy green, leathery leaves.

Cultivars: 'Apple Blossom' - pink buds open white, 'Snowdrift' - white, very fragrant.

Comments: Will quickly cover a fence, trellis or other structure. Attractive for flower and foliage. Native to central and western China, introduced 1900. Likes cool shade over its roots.
