About
REINS
The REINS, Regional Equine
Information Network System, was established as a program of the North
Carolina Cooperative Extension to assist in the education and development
of the North Carolina Horse Industry. The program is coordinated by Extension
Horse Husbandry at North Carolina State University and participating county
extension agents. Through guidance of a coordinating extension agent,
horse owners in a multi-county area are organized into a regional horse
educational association. These regional associations link together the
educational efforts of NC Cooperative Extension, the promotional efforts
of the North Carolina Horse Council and the marketing efforts of the North
Carolina Department of Agriculture and the sponsorship support of agribusiness
contacts.
