Using a 6 or 12 inch V-shaped trough, align the eggs side-by-side throughout the length of the trough. Count the number of eggs in the trough. Repeat this process 3-5 times to ensure an accurate count. Refer to the above chart for the number of eggs per quart. Measure the number of quarts of eggs submerged in water. Multiply the number of quarts by the number of eggs per quart to determine the total number of eggs.
