Locally made, locally grown.” That’s the focus behind the Elaney Wood Heritage Farmers Market and what our customers come out on Saturday mornings looking for.

“Locally made, locally grown” is also the simple standard for what can be sold at the market. If you grow or raise something or bake it or make it — here in Greene County — you are welcome to sell it at the Elaney Wood Heritage Farmers Market.

A steering committee of the Greene County Farmers’ Market — Nicole Sanchez, Misty Chase, Shenile Ford, Roy Thagard, Sharon Ginn, Mary Betty Kearney and Chris Roberson — has drawn up some guidelines of operating procedures as the market attracts more vendors and customers. As you will see, the basic spirit of the market is to buy local, eat local and shop local.  We continue to welcome new vendors to our market, and hope that the following proves helpful in learning how to become part of the Greene
County Farmers’ Market.
