Taming the Holiday Hurries Workshop – Nov. 13 at 5:30 p.m.

Families can have a meaningful holiday with less stress.

Beginning in early November, many families start getting wound up for the holiday season. It starts with early gift shopping and getting ready for Thanksgiving. After cooking that sumptuous feast for 3 days, many families take an hour to eat, a few hours to visit and they are back out shopping by midnight. The holiday frenzy is set in motion. Before the holiday arrives, families are stressed from over-shopping, overspending, overeating/drinking, undernourishment, over-partying, over-exhaustion, and too many unrealistic expectations.

Before heading into this holiday season, why not take 90 minutes to think through more realistic plans and expectations? The “Taming the Holiday Hurries Workshop” will allow participants to identify the essentials and stress-producers of their family’s holiday season. With a critical eye on the details, families can make decisions that will allow for meaningful holiday practices with less time spent on stressful unappreciated activities. Also included will be communicating about the holiday schedule and setting a holiday budget. The event is free and will take place at:
