Become A 4-H Volunteer. . . .
Are You Into It? |
There are many opportunities for volunteering in 4-H. Some
possibilities include: leading clubs, teaching subject matter at
club meetings and summer workshops, coaching youth on
presentations, serving on committees, organizing events and
activities, chaperoning overnight trips, and etc.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer and forming a new
4-H Club, the process is quite simple. It goes like this:
- Contact the 4-H Office at (910) 592-7161 and request the
"Volunteer Application" form.
- Fill out the "volunteer" application form.
- Read and sign the North Carolina 4-H Volunteer Standards of
Behavior Guidelines.
- Request a consultation with the 4-H Program Assistant.
Whalla! That's it!
The NC Cooperative Extension Service agrees to provide you:
- Orientation and training.
- Involvement in planning and decision making.
- Opportunities for personal growth.
- Feedback on performance.
- Recognition for your service to the organization.
