• Family and Consumer Education Agent, Robeson County Center of the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service, 2004-present

• Family and Consumer Science Teacher, Purnell Swett High School, Robeson County, 1996-2004

• Juvenile Court Counselor, Robeson County, 1989-1996

• Other experience includes Social Work, Youth Services Coordinator, Preschool Teacher, and Day Care Director
