Installation Techniques and Final Inspection of Innovative Technologies

This tour will start at the Guilford County On-Site Training Center located at the Cooperative Extension Service Center in the cnetral Piedmont part of the state in Greensboro. Gravel-less systems, such as the polystyrene aggregate and effluent chamber systems will be demonstrated by industry representatives at the Training Center. Drip irrigation will also be demonstrated using an aboveground working display. A contractor will demonstrate the installation of gravel-less trenches at a nearby city owned rental property while local Health Department personnel will demonstrate appropriate inspection techniques. Water conservation fixtures will also be demonstrated. The field tour will include a visit to a functioning drip irrigation installation.
