Stink Bug Threshold

The economic threshold for stink bug is four stink bugs per plant during the seedling stage (up to V6).

The economic threshold for stink bug is one stink bug per four plants when the ear is forming, during ear elongation and the beginning of pollen shed and one stink bug per two plants nearing the end of pollen shed to the blister stage. Be especially cognizant of corn bordered by wheat. Stink bugs will move from the stubble of harvested wheat into corn and show a strong edge effect. Therefore, time the spray at the optimal time when most stink bugs have moved from wheat into corn, but before corn is most susceptible (prior to tasseling).
