Determine Who and What is Leadership

Objectives:

1. The learner will be able to analyze leadership and the traits of good leaders.

2. The learner will be able to determine misconceptions about leadership.

Activities:

1. FFA membership is essential to this class. Call Belinda Niedwick at 919-515-4206 and ask her to send you a membership roster. Follow the instructions to fill it out. Send it back to her along with a check for $10.00 made payable to the North Carolina FFA Association.

2. It is essential that you have a Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) program. Call Belinda Niedwick at 919-515- 4206 and ask her to send to you the Supervised Agricultural Experience Record Book created by Dr. Gary Moore at North Carolina State University. There should be a very nominal charge if any for this book.

3. View the slide presentation created by Dr. Gary Moore entitled What is SAE? After doing this, decide the type of SAE project that you want to participate in and e-mail your ideas to the instructor:Benjie Forrest by the third class. You should begin filling out your record book by then as well.

4. Read chapter 1 in the textbookDeveloping Leadership and Personal Skills. Answer the 6 questions on page 13 and e-mail them to the instructor:Benjie Forrest
