Responsibilities:
Marian is responsible for providing educational and out of school opportunities to youth living in Pitt County. To help improve the
quality of life for children and families. Present life skill development programs, which will result in making informed decisions
about life choices to manage life and reduce at-risk behaviors. Provide informal educational opportunities for school-age youth through school
enrichment, 4-H clubs and after-school programs throughout the county. Coordinate educational activities with the 4-H agents in Pitt County.
Experience:
Marian is a native of Martin County. Her passion and interest in the 4-H Youth Development Program has led her to serve in numerous leadership roles for Cooperative Extension. A former 4-H Adult Volunteer Leader, 4-H Master Volunteer and former NE State Advisory Council Member.
Education:
She has an B.S. in Business Ed./Administration from Saint Augustine's College. While volunteering for 4-H in Beaufort County she was employed with the NC DENR-Division of Administration. She continues to participate and receive professional training in Youth Development through NCCES and membership with the NCAEPAAT.
Personal:
Marian resides in Washington with her husband who is a Trained Adult leader and three daughters who are outstanding 4-Hers.
