Christmas Fun Day

The Person County 4-H Program hosted an event for elementary school kids to make Christmas crafts and gave their parents a day to do some Christmas shopping. On Saturday December 4th, fifty children and twenty volunteers came together for the Person County 4-H Christmas Fun Day. The event has been an annual occurrence for the past ten years. Senior 4-H’ers and volunteers conducted Christmas workshops and taught youngsters to make Christmas items such as decorations, wreaths, and ornaments. Each participant came away with eleven different crafts. After the workshops, everyone was treated to a pizza lunch with soft drinks donated by Pepsi Cola Bottling of Roxboro. Many thanks to the senior 4-H’ers and volunteers who helped to make the day a success. Also, thanks to the Junior Service League of Person County for making a donation to help make this event possible. | ||
