4-H Volunteer of the Year >> Teresa Alexander This year's Volunteer of the Year was Teresa Alexander. She is the club leader for the Goatin' Around 4-H Club. Over the past year, she has encouraged and helped several youth within her club and the community with their animal science project. She has also been a volunteer at our Visually Impaired Workshop and Christmas Fun Day activities. Another activity that she is constantly helping us with is providing chicken eggs for our embryology project. 2007 Club of the Year >> Pilgrims 4-H Club They were recognized for their creative and outstanding work and community service during the past year. They were presented with the annual Special Merit Award for their efforts. Outstanding 4-H'ers of the Year >> Sarah-Marie Rosin & Ian Leisy We are extremely proud of Sarah-Marie Rosin and Ian Leisy and they just finished serving as Person County 4-H County Council officers. Both youth have volunteered at several 4-H county activities over the past year as well as participating in the NC 4-H Ambassador program and other state activities such as 4-H Congress, State Council Conference and Electric Congress. 4-H College Scholarship Recipients >> Sarah-Marie Rosin & Ian Leisy We are extremely proud of Sarah-Marie Rosin and Ian Leisy for their academic success. Both students will be graduating in May and will be starting school in August. We wish them both good luck on their future endeavours.
