Onslow County Constructed Wetlands Project (9)

After completing construction on the wetland cells, work on the irrigation pond began. First, the sludge from the bottom needed to be removed, as well as removing soil so as to deepen the pond by approximately another foot. The sludge/soil mixture was land applied to areas that will grow corn, wheat, and soybeans.
