Constructed Wetlands
Project (6)

Tarps were used to calibrate the bentonite application. First, three tarps (10' x 10' each) were laid in the bottom of the application area. Next, the truck's load of bentonite was applied to that section of the wetland cell. Then, the bentonite on each tarp was collected in a separate bucket and weighed. Once it was determined that the proper amount of bentonite was being applied, application continued over the rest of the wetland cells.
