Onslow County Constructed Wetlands Project (10)

After deepening the pond, clay from a nearby quarry was obtained. Sufficient material was brought to create a 20" deep layer of packed clay on the pond bottom and sidewalls. The pond is 2 acres in area and has a finished depth of 11 feet...that was a lot of clay!
