Onslow County Permeable Lagoon Cover Project (5)

Two sampling ports were installed in each of three locations. The tube closer to the lagoon berm (righthand tube) extends through the cover. The second tube was installed over the cover's surface. This way, gas or odor samples can be collected in areas either with or without a cover over the liquid. The tubes help reduce the influence of any wind or wind direction on sample collection.
