North Carolina State University has one of the nation’s largest and foremost Christmas tree research and extension programs. It provides North Carolina Christmas tree growers with educational programs and research-based advice on sustainable Christmas tree production emphasizing protection of the environment. Program opportunities exist in marketing, production, integrated pest management, and genetics. Extension also provides consumers with information on tree selection and care as well as environmental issues concerning Christmas tree production.
