- Clearcutting for forestry; Properties should not be clear-cut during the conduct of forestry or silvicultural activities; To maintain the visual character of the site from adjoining properties and right-of-way, a vegetated perimeter buffer shall be maintained while tree harvesting for forestry occurs; (See Article 7)
- Clearcutting prior to development; Applications proposing development of properties that failed to maintain such a buffer prior to development may be denied for a period of up to five years from the date of clearing in conformance with N.C.G.S. Section 153A-452(c); (See Article 7)
- Voluntary agricultural district ordinance; Voluntary Agricultural District Program is not an overlay zoning district, and is not implemented in the same way as a zoning district would be
- Agricultural tourism defined and listed as use within zoning ordinance
