Site Introduction
It is critically important that forest landowners, consulting foresters, arborists, developers, and others involved with forest management practices, or any land or vegetation disturbance and modification activities, be familiar with the laws and regulations that may apply to these practices and activities. Such laws may include zoning ordinances or landscaping ordinances -- both of which may be part of the same Unified Development Ordinance (UDO). These laws and regulations can also pertain to adjoining properties, roads, water bodies, and other lands that may be affected by these practices and activities.
Violations of these local, state, and federal laws and regulations may result in fines, legal costs, and other expenses paid by the forest landowner. The various sections of this site are intended to provide access to resources, which contain these laws and regulations or guidance on local, state, and federal regulation. However, this site does not provide legal advice or guidance. It is intended to provide information only. Please read the disclaimer for this website before using it for informational purposes.
