Keynote SpeakersDr. Kathleen L. Wolf is a Research Social Scientist at the College of Forest Resources, University of Washington, and does research in environmental psychology. She has worked professionally as both a landscape architect and as an environmental planner. Since receiving her Ph.D. from the University of Michigan, Dr. Wolf has done research to better understand the human dimensions of urban forestry and urban ecosystems. Kathy’s professional mission is to discover, understand and communicate human behavior and benefits, as people experience nature in urban settings. Gary Moll is vice president of the Ecosystem Analysis Center at AMERICAN FORESTS and has worked as an urban forester for 30 years in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Over the last 14 years, Moll has led an effort to map, measure, and analyze the value of urban ecosystems. This effort includes the development of a new technique to analyze urban ecosystems using Geographic Information Systems technology and a desktop application of this technique called CITYgreen. He has authored numerous urban forestry articles and two books, Shading Our Cities and Growing Greener Cities. |
