Welcome to the 3rd annual 2010 N.C. Urban Forestry Conference hosted by the North Carolina Urban Forest Council with support from NC Division of Forest Resources.

The year's conference theme, "Acorns to Mighty Oaks, Growing a Healthy Urban Forest" addresses the critical concerns to sustaining our urban forest landscapes. The location for the conference is the City of Oaks, Raleigh, NC.
Generous sponsorships from Duke Energy and Bartlett Tree Experts will assure another successful urban forest conference in North Carolina.

The conference will feature expert invited speakers, professional continuing education credits, a lively exhibit gallery, tasty food, networking, and a pre-conference workshop sponsored by Alliance for Community Trees (ACT).

The following organizations have been contacted in order to provide professional continuing education contact hours for conference participants:
International Society of Arboriculture (ISA)
September 14th Pre-conference workshop – 6 hours
September 15th (all sessions) – 5.5. hours
September 16th (all sessions) – 5.75 hours

Society of American Foresters (SAF CFE)
September 14 pre-conference workshop - 6.0 CFE in Category 1-CF
September 15-16 full conference attendance - 12.5 CFE in Category 1-CF
American Planning Association (AICP/APA)
This conference has been reviewed for AICP credits and attending sessions on September 15 and 16 is valued at up to 11.0 contact hours.
American Society of Landscape Architects (NCBLA)
We have applied for continuing educationc redits from NCBLA. Members are encouraged to self-report their contact hours. The workshop provides up to 6.5 contact hours to those who attend. The conference provides up to 10.5 contact hours to those who attend both days.
