WHAT

Do you own land in rural North Carolina? Are you unclear exactly what you have and how it can be used for your or your community’s benefit? Resourceful Communities is hosting a training for qualified landowners. This workshop will cover the basics of landownership and will help you understand:

  • Ownership structures
  • Taxes
  • Deeds
  • Access
  • Easements
  • Determining value
  • Possible uses
  • And more

Our workshop is offered at no-cost, but given our limited funding, we are asking interested participants to fill out a brief questionnaire to determine eligibility. Eligible participants must:

  • Own land in Vance, Granville, Warren, Halifax, Franklin, or Northampton Counties.
  • Submit a property address. (Resourceful Communities will use this to prepare maps and other property information for use during our workshop.)
  • Limit participation to 2 people per address submitted.

GOALS

At the end of this workshop, participants will have the tools and knowledge needed to make a basic assessment of the land holdings.

COST

There is no cost to attend this workshop. However, all participants must be pre-registered.
