Glenn Sappie, Economist, NC Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Division of Air Quality
Glenn is an economist for the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Division of Air Quality with the Rule Development Branch. Since 1995, he prepared economic impact analysis of proposed air quality regulations. He was appointed to a federal advisory committee to evaluate impacts from regulation of industrial combustion sources. Glenn received a Masters degree in Agricultural Management and Resource Development from University of Florida. As research faculty at NCSU, he evaluated pesticide use related to Boll Weevil eradication and the economic results of promising agricultural technologies as a Research Associate with the North Carolina Agricultural Research Service. Before moving into air quality, Glenn developed economic assessments of best management practices with the Division of Soil and Water Conservation, Watershed Protection Planning Section.
