The conference will run from 5:00 PM on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 through 12:00 PM on Friday, November 13, 2009. All conference sessions will be held at the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, 15 T.W. Alexander Drive, Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, 27709, USA. Research Triangle Park (RTP) is located in the central Piedmont region of North Carolina, USA.

This region of North Carolina is served by the Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU). The average cost of taxi from the airport to the hotel is $20.00. The hotel shuttle from RDU airport can be arranged from the courtesy phones located near baggage claim area. Taxi services are available outside the baggage claim area.

The Radisson Hotel provides an airport shuttle at no charge to its guests. When arriving at the RDU airport you will find the courtesy phone for local hotels in the baggage claim area of both Terminal 1 (across from baggage carousel #2) and Terminal 2 (next to the escalator). Use the touch screen at the courtesy phone console to find "Radisson" listed, and select the hotel's button on the screen. This will connect the phone to the hotel so you can inform them that you are in need of shuttle pick up. They will instruct you where to meet the hotel's shuttle van (usually a 5 minute walk outside the terminal).

Drive time between the Radisson (conference hotel) and the NC Biotechnology Center (conference site) is approximately 15 minutes. For the convenience of conference participants, a complimentary shuttle service will run each morning and afternoon between the Radisson Hotel and the conference site.

Conference Lodging
Lodging is not included in the conference registration fee. Local planning committee members have blocked guest rooms at the Radisson Hotel Research Triangle Park at a rate of $115.00 per night (USD). To qualify for the discounted rate, conference participants must contact the hotel and request the group name "Fagaceae Conference ."

The special group rate applies to the evenings of Tuesday, November 10 through Thursday, November 12, 2009.
