The NC Biotechnology Center is located in Research Triangle Park (RTP). R TP is one of the oldest and largest science parks in North America. It is a 7,000 acre development that is home to more than 170 companies employing over 42,000 full-time knowledge workers and an estimated 10,000 contract employees. RTP is centrally located in North Carolina and is within 4 hours driving time of Atlantic Ocean beaches, the Appalachian Mountains. The immediate area of the Triangle is loaded with historical, natural, and entertainment points of interest.
