Technical Tours - Sunday, September 21, 2008 - 1pm to 5pm

Two tours will be conducted on Sunday, September 21, 2008 between 1pm and 5pm. Preregistration is required, and seating list limited to the first 35 registrations. Please visit this page again soon as the agendas for each of these tours are finalized.

Tour on producing and using torrified wood biomass as a fuel
Stop #1will be at the NCSU Lake Wheeler Road Field Laboratory where Chris, Preston Burnette, and Alex would explain what torrefied wood is, what the process of torrefaction is, what their project is all about plus a demonstration.  Stop #2 will be at a local power generation plant developing co-firing for a large-scale torrified wood.
