Speaker Honoraria

Speakers who participate in the Biomass-South2008 conference duties an honorarium of $300, and each panelist or moderator an honorarium of $200. Honoraria payments are not intended for speakers who participate in the conference as fullfillment of their regular employment duties. The honorarium is intended as a thank you for contribution of time and effort which helps assure the overall success of the conference.

To receive an honoraria check, please complete and sign the IRS W-9 form (click here for PDF document) and fax to our office at your earliest convenience. Receipt of honorarium checks may take up to 30 days or more after paperwork submission.

Speaker Travel Reimbursement

Speakers who are obtaining travel reimbursement from their emplopyer should not request reimbursement form NC State University. Those who do not have funds available from their employer may apply for reimbursement of their travel expenses (not including conference hotel rooms and meals provided during the conference) using the NC State University's two-step travel reimbursement process.

Note that the reimbursement process may take 30 days or more after submission of these forms, and that the speakers will be required to provide a social security number which will be used to for identification and IRS purposes.

Step 1. Prior to travel an NC State University travel authorization form must be submitted. Use first spreadsheet in this Excel Workbook file.

Step 2. After all travel is completed the University's expense reimbursement form , is to be completed and mailed to our office with original receipts for expenses incurred by the speaker. Use second spreadsheet in this Excel Workbook file.

Travel reimbursements are based on the NC State University's per diem rates for transportation and meal costs in Raleigh, NC.
